Reducing
Stress and Boosting Performance at Motorola
Three groups were involved in this six-month study: managers,
engineers and factory workers. The study examined the impact
of Inner Quality Management® (IQM) training. Results of
the study showed that tension, anxiety, nervousness, anger
and physical symptoms of stress significantly decreased. Blood
pressure in hypertensive individuals decreased, and there
was a reduction in sympathetic nervous system activity. Caring,
contentment, job satisfaction, and communication also significantly
increased as a result of the IQM training.

groups of customer service employees 37 managers, supervisors
and front line staff together attended a one-day Inner Quality
Management training. Pre and post data from the Personal and
Organizational Quality Assessment was gathered at 30 days pre
training and 60 days post training.
